Március 26-án tartottuk hagyományos angol szakmai napunkat. Az idei téma: vikingek. Külsős vendégek is érkeztek a kerületi iskolákból, illetve a Kéttannyelvű Iskolák Egyesületét az Egyesület elnöke Horváth Gábor és az elnökség tagja, Harangozó Hajnalka képviselte. Az első két tanórában bemutató órákat, a harmadik tanórában a Norde Gard viking hagyományőrző egyesület bemutatóját láthatták vendégeink. Köszönjük kollégáinknak és a résztvevő diákoknak a lelkes közreműködést!
We had our traditional open day on the 26th of March. This year's topic was the Vikings. We had guests from local schools as well as Gábor Horváth Chairman of the Board and board member Hajnalka Harangozó of the Association of Bilingual Schools. We had open lessons in the first two periods and a Viking show by Norde Gard reenaction group in the third. Thank you to our colleagues and students for their enthusiastic participation.

Looting, Letters and Battles - Vikings in Verse: Exploring the history and characteristics of Old Norse and Old English poetry, discussing what the bards used instead of rhyme, what the Viking metaphor looks like, then trying our hands at them too. Viking Dining-Leve Flatbread Bakery Session: Explore the Viking kitchen with me and make the Leve bread which was the staple food at the time. We are planning to learn the names of the kitchen utensils they used and you can learn about the ingredients. Do not forget your apron:) - Mihály István

Viking Shield and Helmet + runes: A Viking's axe and shield is important to be able to defend yourself in case of attack or if it's time for a raid. It also makes the marching beat and teaches young vikings about safety, when and when not to use them and how to write your name with runes. - Kenneth Friis
